Barry Gardner, FInstCES, MCIArb, is the principal of HDD Consultants Ltd. A Quantity Surveyor by profession he has over 40 years experience in the heavy civil engineering industry including, latterly, 20 years specialising in Horizontal Directional Drilling.
Horizontal Directional Drilling is the optimum solution for the accurate installation of pipelines crossing natural obstacles, artificial barriers and any other sensitive areas which is used extensively in the Oil and Gas Industry.
World wide steel and plastic pipe crossings have been achieved with lengths approaching 4000m and shorter lengths of diameters up to 1400mmÆ .
